Lucky Cat Turquoise

The lucky cat is based on the Japanese cat Maneki-neko (招 き 猫), which is very popular in Japanese culture and is said to bring good luck to its owner. Our lucky cat is inspired by the classic one that can be seen in stores, restaurants and other oriental businesses: made of plastic and very distinctive.

Maneki (招 き) comes from the verb maneku (招 く) which in Japanese means "invite to pass" or "to greet". Neko (猫) means "cat". Together literally they mean: "cat that invites to enter". In your house, place your lucky cat facing the door so that with his little waving paw he is inviting luck to come in. Make sure his little leg is moving at all times. Take care of him and good luck!
